Dear Colleagues,

From its inception, the Annual Conference of the Sociedad Mexicana de Ciencia y Tecnología de Superficies y Materiales (SMCTSM, Mexican Society of Science and Technology of Surfaces and Materials) has been an important forum for the Mexican scientific community to discuss topics related to research in the fields of surface and materials science.

On this occasion, we are pleased to welcome you to participate in the XIX International Conference on Surface, Materials and Vacuum (ICSMV), to be held from September 21–25, 2026, at the Hotel Fiesta Americana in Mérida, Yucatán, México.

The conference program includes plenary talks, short courses, and scientific symposia featuring oral and poster presentations. In addition to the scientific program, participants will have the opportunity to exchange ideas, establish collaborations, and engage with researchers, students, and professionals from different institutions and areas of expertise.
