The Francisco Javier Espinoza Award is conferred upon an active member of the Sociedad Mexicana de Ciencia y Tecnología de Superficies y Materiales (SMCTSM) whose career‐long applied research has made outstanding contributions to surface and materials science.
Requirements
- The nominee must be an active SMCTSM member and be nominated by another active member.
- The nominator must submit a document (up to five pages) describing the nominee’s principal work and its impact on surface and materials science.
- The nomination must include supporting materials (such as key publications, patents, or similar evidence of impact) together with the nominee’s complete CV.
- Both nominee and nominator must provide proof of payment of their 2026 SMCTSM membership payment.
Award
The recipient of the Francisco Javier Espinoza Award will receive a diploma and a monetary prize.
Awarding Committee
The jury will be constituted by five renowned members of SMCTSM in the field of surface and materials science.
